~Silhouette~

The stars were laid out
I was free
Nothing could hurt me

I stepped up for a dance
I tripped over
Tip-toed into
a charade of romance

I saw me
The love was mine
Beautiful in the reflection
But only reflection

The stars were laid out
You must shine
You smelted desires
I was left to stare
My residual bare
The love was mine
Dousing all fires

How could I resent
The stars were laid out
I saw me
I wore plum to your ashen

The long love that was mine
Today, its silhouette
Shrugs off the slur
Its silence resonates

The stars refuse to come out
I see you plead
The unforgiving love
I wouldnt slough the scabs
Will it still bleed?
